Kaiden Brand Biography

Friday, 1 November 2019

Sydney signs ex-Hawthorn defender Kaiden Brand and former Port Adelaide forward Sam Gray as delisted free agents.

"We’re excited about adding Sam and Kaiden to our squad and look forward to them continuing their careers at Sydney," Swans head of football Charlie Gardiner said.

"Sam and Kaiden have both shown an ability to perform at AFL level and we think they will both be great additions to our team."

Monday, 31 October 2016

Kaiden Brand signs a two-year contract extension with Hawthorn to remain at the club until the end of 2018.

"After struggling with a shoulder injury last season, Kaiden had a strong patch of AFL games this year," Hawthorn list manager Graham Wright said.

"We've been really happy with his progress and we think he could be a really important player for us long-term."

Friday, 30 September 2016

Kaiden Brand could switch clubs in the coming trade period after stalling contract talks with Hawthorn.

Brand is out of contract and the Hawks have been unable to make any real progress in its recent attempts to negotiate a new deal with the 22-year-old.

Industry sources believe the South Australian is sitting on an offer from a rival club given the strong demand for key defenders this year.

Friday, 6 May 2016

Kaiden Brand makes his AFL debut for Hawthorn at the MCG with 14 disposals (9 kicks and 5 handballs), 4 marks and 2 tackles in a 46-point win over Richmond.

Wednesday, 4 March 2015

Kaiden Brand has undergone a shoulder reconstruction following an injury suffered early in Hawthorn's NAB Challenge clash against Collingwood.

Brand faces up to five months on the sidelines following the surgery and could return to action late in July.

The 19-year-old was playing with his left shoulder strapped and left the ground cradling his left arm following a marking contest in his first match for the Hawks.
