Chris Judd will return to Carlton in an important off-field capacity, with the retired superstar player set to join the Blues' board at the end of the 2017 season.
Judd will replace outgoing director Adrian Gleeson who will retire from the board at the end of this season.
"With his extensive football knowledge and feel for the game, as well as his understanding of the club’s redefined culture and values, there is no doubt Chris will be a strong addition to our board at Carlton," Blues president Mark LoGuidice said.
"Chris is a highly respected former player and is now regarded as an emerging business leader. Importantly, he has a shared vision for creating sustained success for the Carlton Football Club. We will officially welcome Chris to the position at season's end."
