Mitch Hahn Biography

Thursday, 1 September 2011

Bulldog Mitch Hahn says this season will be his last and is already planning for the future.

"I'll have a week or two where I'll relax and reflect and look back on the year, and then I'll start to talk to my partner about the future and what path I'm going to go down, and see what opportunities come up in regards to the coaching role and in personal training," he said.

"I'm also slowly looking into the fire brigade as well, which is something I've wanted to do for a long time. I'm just seeing where that all fits in."

Wednesday, 5 January 2011

Western Bulldogs forward Mitch Hahn says he was no certainty to accept his reduced role after the club delisted him in November.

"It was different. I pretty much knew the Bulldogs were going to pick me up but there was obviously the possibility of someone else picking me up as well," he said.

"But no one had spoken to me and the Bulldogs were confident, otherwise they wouldn't have taken me on the camp.

"It was still a hard decision to make. In the end, I've been at the club for 11 years and I felt like I still had something to offer in terms of playing."

Tuesday, 30 November 2010

Mitch Hahn heads the list of players to nominate for the 2010 NAB AFL Pre-Season Draft and the Bulldogs say it is likely he will be picked up again by the club.

"The decision has been made that we'll look at him and we'll call him out next Tuesday," Bulldogs recruiting manager Simon Dalrymple said.

"He'll go for it. We've got room on our rookie list for a mature-aged player so he'll be right in the mix for that position."

Wednesday, 10 November 2010

The Western Bulldogs have finalised their list ahead of next Thursday's NAB AFL Draft, a list that will not include Mitch Hahn who was delisted.

"His courage on the field was something to admire and his commitment to the club made him a highly-regarded figure here at the Whitten Oval," coach Rodney Eade said.

Monday, 15 March 2010

Mitch Hahn fractures an eye socket after clashing with teammate Barry Hall but is still a chance to recover in time for the Bulldogs' round 1 clash against Collingwood.

Wednesday, 24 June 2009

If not for bad luck with injury, Bulldog Mitch Hahn would be well beyond the 150-game milestone which he will finally celebrate against North Melbourne.

"I don't think of that. I'm just privileged to be given the opportunity to play AFL football by the Western Bulldogs, who drafted me back in 1999," Hahn said.

"Sometimes you don't get the opportunity to show that you can play, and they gave me that opportunity and I'm grateful for that.

"I've been lucky enough to now play 150 games, so I'm excited to be part of this footy club."

Saturday, 7 March 2009

Western Bulldog Mitch Hahn is keen to see for more finals action.

Saturday, 28 February 2009

The Western Bulldogs' Round 1 side is taking shape after Jason Akermanis, Robert Murphy and Mitch Hahn returned to action in the club's practice match.
