Former Cat Brodie Moles says he has set high goals at the Western Bulldogs and must work hard to achieve them.

"I was thinking the other day being at Geelong, I was glad I didn't play for a couple of years," he said.

"It made me realise what you have to do, how hard you've got to work to become a professional footballer and that's something I've brought more to my game."

Brodie Moles makes his AFL debut for the Western Bulldogs at the MCG with 21 disposals (12 kicks and 9 handballs), 3 marks, 4 tackles and a goal in a 72-point win over Richmond.

Brodie Moles is rewarded for his excellent pre-season form by being named in the Bulldogs 2010 round 1 squad to take on Collingwood.

The Bulldogs represent a second chance at an AFL career for Moles when he was delisted by Geelong after two years on their list.

"I was obviously shattered (after being axed by the Cats) but I was just rapt to get another opportunity," Moles said.

"Leading up to the rookie draft, I only spoke to Hawthorn and the Bulldogs a week before the draft, so I was really unsure what to do with my life, but it has worked out amazingly for me."

Friday, 19 March 2010

Bulldogs midfielder and former Cat Brodie Moles has his sights set on a round one debut after being officially promoted to the senior list this week.

"I was in a squad at the Cats for round 16 last year but I was never promoted because I was playing okay footy in the VFL," Moles said.

"I'm just really excited and hopefully I'll get picked to play against Collingwood in round one."
