Luke Rounds Biography

Monday, 29 October 2012

Collingwood delists Cameron Wood, Simon Buckley, Kirk Ugle, Luke Rounds and Jonathon Ceglar as part of its list overhaul.

"All of the boys did what they could to give themselves a chance and they were good people to have around the club," Collingwood director of football Geoff Walsh said.

"People don't always see what sacrifices are made to try to forge an AFL career. We thank all of them for that effort and wish them well."

Out-of-contract Collingwood defender Luke Rounds is in limbo after being told the club has made no decision on his future.

"Luke enjoys it at Collingwood, but while his future remains undecided he has to explore opportunities elsewhere," Rounds' manager Greg Size said.

"Luke's senior opportunities have obviously been limited at Collingwood, but he's confident he can have an impact if given an extended chance."

Essendon coach James Hird says David Zaharakis' injury will keep him out of the side until the last few rounds of the season.

"I'd say he's at least four or five weeks away from coming back, it's not a good injury he had and we want to be very cautious," Hird said.

"If you ask anyone who's had one, you have to be very careful with them and he's a fantastic player for us, our reigning best and fairest, a young player."

Sunday, 3 July 2011

Luke Rounds makes his AFL debut for Collingwood at the MCG with 4 disposals (a kick and 3 handballs) and a tackle in a 41-point win over Hawthorn.
