Jordan Lisle says he is still learning to use his large frame to his advantage.

"I've been going OK. I'd still like to do a few things better," Lisle said.

"For me it's about playing like a big bloke. Creating a contest, trying to chip in with a few shots on goal every week and bringing the little guys into play by bringing the ball to ground."

Former Hawthorn player Jordan Lisle is making the most of his opportunity to play senior football since moving to the Brisbane Lions.

"I really enjoy it up here in Brisbane, it's a great lifestyle. I definitely don't miss Melbourne, especially the weather," Lisle said.

"Breaking into the side, this will be five games in a row and I'd only played five games all up at Hawthorn, so there's definitely something to build on and if I can have another good pre-season, hopefully I can get a few more games next year."

Friday, 2 March 2012

A spot is available in the Lions' forward due to skipper Jonathan Brown's latest injury, one that Jordan Lisle hopes to be able to fill.

"Myself and Bryce Retzlaff and Aaron Cornelius will all be playing on Saturday night trying to fill the void left by Browny," Lisle said.

"The mindset doesn't really change for us young blokes. We're not assured a spot in the team and we'll just go about it the same way, we're trying to be in the best 22 come round one."

Thursday, 19 January 2012

Former Hawk and new Brisbane recruit Jordan Lisle says he is loving life at the Lions.

"Going into trade week I didn't think I was going to be traded, I didn't ask to be traded, but the opportunity arose and in the end it was too good to pass up," Lisle said.

"I'd spent three years at Hawthorn and loved it there but struggled to crack into the side and Brisbane is a developing young group. It was a great opportunity to come up here and hopefully play some senior footy."

Monday, 12 December 2011

Jordan Lisle says his desire for more playing opportunities led him to seek a trade from the Hawks to Brisbane.

"It wasn't the easiest decision to make. I spoke to my family and a few friends, but they all said pretty much what I was thinking and that was that it is a great opportunity and the best thing for my career," Lisle said.

"I'm sort of at the stage of my career where I thought I was good enough to be playing AFL footy, but I wasn't really getting a regular chance at Hawthorn. That's what I thought I could get at Brisbane and that's really the reason why, in the end, I asked Hawthorn if they could do the trade."

Monday, 4 July 2011

Hawthorn's dwindling big man stocks depleted further with Jordan Lisle set to miss time with a broken cheekbone.

Lisle fractured his cheekbone after a clash of heads with Collingwood's Leon Davis.

Sunday, 5 June 2011

Jordan Lisle makes his AFL debut for Hawthorn at the MCG with 7 disposals (5 kicks and 2 handballs), 5 marks, 2 tackles and 2 hitouts in a 22-point win over Fremantle.
