Midfielder Callum Bartlett has been delisted by the Brisbane Lions but could be re-drafted by the club.

"We believe in Callum's ability and we intend to re-draft him as a rookie, or at the pre-season draft next month," Lions football operations manager Dean Warren said.

Luckless Brisbane Lions midfielder Callum Bartlett is desperate to make his senior debut in 2012 after a history of knee reconstructions.

"Everybody who's fit for round one wants to be in the team. It's a long way to go from where I am now but that'd be a good result. It'd be a dream come true," Bartlett said.

"The darkest moments weren't that dark. I got to play a bit of footy at the end of last year which sparked me up a little bit, got a bit of the hunger back after being out for so long. It wasn't too bad, I got by and got into a routine and got what I had to do, done."

Geelong Falcon Callum Bartlett didn't play a game in 2009 after damaging his ACL, but after completing rehab with the Cats he is still rated highly.

"It was a change of direction thing I've done a million times, except this time I was unbalanced," Bartlett said of his injury.

"It was frustrating. The next thing I knew I was at the doctor and physio and getting MRIs."
