West Coast has signed forwards Josh Hill and Ashton Hams to new contracts.

"It was a good decision to come here at the end of last season and things could not be going much better," Hill said.

"It has all worked out pretty well for me and I'm excited about the finals. We are all focused on this big game and obviously we want to have a big impact in finals."

"It's great to get the opportunity to continue at the club," Hams said.

"I really want to be a part of this finals series and will do anything possible to get that chance. Everyone wants to be part of the big games and hopefully I can force my way back into the team."

West Coast small forward Ashton Hams edges closer to a return after being named as an emergency for Sunday's Western Derby.

"I'm definitely still pushing and 'Suma' (forward line coach Peter Sumich) is pretty keen for me to keep pushing for the small forward spot," Hams said.

"It'd help if it started raining a bit over the weekends, because we do have a pretty tall forward line. But that's been working, so I don't think we'd make too many changes. 'Nico' (Nicoski) is having a great year too."
