Luke Mitchell Biography

Sunday, 13 January 2013

With Jarrad Waite, Matthew Kreuzer, Levi Casboult, Luke Mitchell, Shaun Hampson and Sam Rowe all expected to be ready for the start of the season, Carlton is expected to be spoilt for choice when it comes to big men, something it rarely had the luxury of in 2012.

"We could not get consistently healthy talls last year, so having these guys fit and available is going to be critical for us," forwards coach John Barker said.

"The good thing is all of them who had some small and big issues last year, they are all ready to go."

Sunday, 2 September 2012

Luke Mitchell makes his AFL debut for Carlton at Docklands Stadium with 8 disposals (7 kicks and a handball), 3 marks, 2 hitouts and a goal in a 15-point loss to St Kilda.

Wednesday, 25 January 2012

Carlton key forward Luke Mitchell has continued his wretched run of injuries and will miss up to four months after dislocating a shoulder joint during training.

At this stage of the year and given Luke's history with his shoulders, [we didn't want to] treat it conservatively for fear that it might occur again. It's a lot less likely that he will have problems after the latarjet reconstruction," Carlton football manager Andrew McKay said.

"We're confident going forward that both his shoulders will be nice and stabilised and that it will be very unlikely to happen again."

Wednesday, 24 November 2010

Luke Mitchell says aside from being a forward he has very little in common with former Carlton star Brendan Fevola after being handed Fevola's old No. 25 jumper.

"We're both forwards and both like to kick goals, but that's about it," Mitchell said.

"Any number at the club [is fine]. I would have been happy with anything. I'm just stoked that I'm here."
