Terry Milera Biography

Thursday, 28 August 2014

Terry Milera's 30-game career as a Saint appears over after he informed the club of his desire to return to South Australia.

Milera, 26, cited personal reasons for his request to move back to his home state.

"We are sorry that Terry is likely to move on from the Saints at the end of the season but we fully appreciate the personal reasons contributing to his decision," St Kilda head of football Chris Pelchen said.

"Terry has shown that he is a player of some ability and we will endeavour to seek a satisfactory trade for the mutual benefit of both him and the club."

Terry Milera will spend most of 2014 as a forward despite spending an extensive amount of time training with St Kilda's backline in the off-season.

"Everything is different down there, they do a lot of body work," Milera said.

"My body work was probably non-existent last year to be honest, but doing a lot of training in the backline should help me with that this year.

"I'll try and be more physical and get more body on. I'll be a forward, but there are things I learnt in the backline that I'll try and implement in my game."

Beau Maister, Terry Milera have joined Farren Ray in re-signing with the Saints.

St Kilda's Terry Milera doesn't want to let slip his chance of a successful AFL career, as his younger brother Tim did as a rookie with the Adelaide crows.

"When he was having troubles with the club I told him to stick at it. I had a little chat to him and he said the pre-seasons are one of the hardest things you'll ever have to go through," Terry Milera said.

"I think he had the potential to be a good AFL player and he's let his opportunity go by. That is something I don't really want to do and I don't want my family to be disappointed in me."

Sunday, 1 April 2012

Terry Milera makes his AFL debut for St Kilda at Football Park with 17 disposals (10 kicks and 7 handballs), 6 marks, 3 tackles and a goal in a 4-point loss to Port Adelaide.

Tuesday, 28 February 2012

St Kilda goal sneak Stephen Milne has taken new small forwards Ahmed Saad and Terry Milera under his wing.

"I try and pass on what I've learned over the past 10 or 11 years," Milne said.

"It's only been three months so it's only been short-term at the moment but Saady and I have become pretty close over the last couple of months and hopefully that can continue and I can pass on my wealth of experience."
