Jackson Paine Biography

Monday, 5 September 2016

The Brisbane Lions delist five players, headlined by former Collingwood key position player Jackson Paine.

Untried pair Josh Watts and Josh McGuinness, along with rookies Hugh Beasley and Billy Evans have also been delisted.

"Of course it is disappointing when any player departs, and each of the guys have given great service to our club," Brisbane football manager Matt Francis said.

Tuesday, 17 May 2016

The Brisbane Lions have lodged paperwork to elevate rookie Jackson Paine to its senior list.

Paine has been elevated to replace defender Justin Clarke, who retired from the game earlier this season after being unable to overcome recurring concussions.

Monday, 4 November 2013

Former Magpie and new Lions recruit Jackson Paine hopes to make an impact up forward for his new club.

"You're in the AFL system because you want to play AFL and I wasn't getting that opportunity down at Collingwood and hopefully I can put my best foot forward here and make that happen up north," Paine said.

"I think I have a bit of versatility in the forward role. I enjoy getting up the ground and working my opponent over but I also enjoy the physicality of it."

Friday, 25 October 2013

Patrick Karnezis has been traded from the Brisbane Lions to Collingwood in exchange for forward Jackson Paine in a straight swap.

Friday, 30 March 2012

Jackson Paine makes his AFL debut for Collingwood at the MCG with 6 disposals (3 kicks and 3 handballs), 3 marks, 2 tackles and a goal in a 22-point loss to Hawthorn.

Sunday, 19 February 2012

Collingwood debutant Jackson Paine admits his match-winning goal against the Giants in the NAB Cup was a fluke.

"I have been told to claim that it (the goal) was completely legitimate and that I was completely going for it, but that would be a fair lie," Paine said.

"I was trying to square it up and do the team thing, but in the end it looked selfish."

Wednesday, 18 January 2012

Jackson Paine was one of Collingwood's first-year players taken to Tasmania for a three-day induction camp.

"It was great fun. Its main function was to act as a bonding session and it really worked well in that way," Paine said.

"The boys got a lot closer and we had a lot of sessions that asked a lot of us and we used them well, so it was a good camp."
