Max Warren Biography

Tuesday, 29 September 2015

American prospect Eric Wallace has been delisted by North Melbourne, ending the club's three-year experiment with the athletic ruckman.

He was one of three players delisted by the Kangaroos, with the club also parting ways with 29-year-old defender Scott McMahon and rookie Max Warren.

"We’d like to thank Scott, Max and Eric for their commitment and dedication to the club during their time at Arden St," football manager Geoff Walsh said.

"Scott, Max and Eric have represented the club extremely well both on and off the field and should be proud of their contributions.

"They have all been true professionals during their time in North colours and we wish them all the very best for the future."

North Melbourne selects Max Warren with pick No.50 in the 2014 NAB AFL Draft.

"We had to either promote or delist him with a view to taking him back depending on circumstances," Kangaroos recruiting manager Bryce Lewis said.

"Spots on the primary list were tight given we brought in two free agents and upgraded two rookies."

Liam Anthony, Taylor Hine, Robin Nahas, Mitch Wilkins, Tom Curran, Cameron Delaney and rookies Tim McGenniss and Max Warren have all been delisted by the Kangaroos.

Wednesday, 25 June 2014

Max Warren will make his AFL debut on Saturday night against the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba after two-and-a-half seasons on North Melbourne's rookie list.

North announced Warren's debut on NMFC.com.au on Wednesday afternoon, after elevating him to their senior list earlier that day.

"It's been a lot of hard work and a lot of dedication and doing the right things, so hopefully I can bring it into the AFL level," Warren said.

Warren, 181cm, has been a consistent performer with the Roos' VFL affiliate North Ballarat, playing predominantly as a close-checking defender.
