"Tim's worked hard in the VFL to return from the injury that cut his 2018 season short, while Jack and Rupert were able to come in and play their role for the team late in the season," Collingwood list manager Ned Guy said in a statement.

Tim Broomhead signs a new two-year deal with Collingwood that will keep him at the club until the end of 2018.

The South Australian was the No.20 pick in the 2012 NAB AFL Draft but injuries have limited to him to just 21 games in four seasons with Collingwood.

Broomhead made solid progress in the first half of 2015 before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury, while shoulder and ankle injuries kept him to just two senior games in 2016.

Tim Broomhead says his recovery from an undisplaced crack in his left shoulder is progressing well.

"It's been pretty slow (the recovery). Shoulders are pretty annoying injuries, but it's getting back to normal which is good," Broomhead said.

"It's nice to be relatively fit with no injuries – touch wood. Fingers crossed I get through all the pre-season healthy and fit and have a strong year next year."

Tim Broomhead earns the round 11 NAB Rising Star nomination after gathering 25 touches – 13 contested – with four inside 50s, three tackles and a goal in the Magpies' 42-point win against GWS.

"I've had a couple of little hiccups along the way but now it's good to play a few games in a row and get my confidence up and self-belief," Broomhead said.

"I think if I play to the best of my ability there's a spot available for me. It just comes back to my work-rate and working equally hard both ways.

"Hopefully I can stay fit and keep improving. I feel like I've got a lot of improvement to do."
