Josh Saunders Biography

The Saints delist contracted player Josh Saunders but will re-draft him as a rookie.

Saunders, 21, has played 22 games with the Saints but managed just two games in 2015.

Josh Saunders signs a new deal with St Kilda that will keep him at the club until the end of 2017.

"Josh is an energetic young player who has provided genuine run and carry for the Saints forward of the centre," Saints football manager Chris Pelchen said.

"His running ability provides a real example to the other players on the training track. As he develops a mature body, we anticipate he will be able to spend some more time through the midfield."

Josh Saunders makes his AFL debut for St Kilda with 6 disposals (3 kicks and 3 handballs), a mark and 5 tackles in a 16-point loss to Sydney.
