Jordan Cunico Biography

Monday, 21 August 2017

Jake Kolodjashnij, Wylie Buzza and Jordan Cunico sign new deals with Geelong to remain at the club until the end of 2019.

"We see Jake, Wylie and Jordan as key members of our team well into the future," Geelong’s general manager of football Steve Hocking said.

"Jake has already shown his ability, work ethic and versatility. He plays and prepares in the Geelong way and makes our team and our club better.

"Wylie and Jordan continue to work hard at their craft and while they haven't experienced a lot of football at AFL level, we hope to integrate them as part of our core group in the coming years."

Thursday, 25 May 2017

Jordan Cunico makes his AFL debut for Geelong at Kardinia Park with 12 disposals (8 kicks and 4 handballs), 3 marks and a tackle in a 2-point win over Port Adelaide.

Wednesday, 27 April 2016

Geelong expects Jordan Cunico to be back playing football before the end of the season despite the young Cat being forced to undergo surgery on both knees.

Cunico has been battling posterior knee pain and hasn't played at any level this season, and the 19-year-old is now facing 12 weeks on the sidelines.

"Jordan was limited through the pre-season and hasn't been able to play due to these knee issues, and surgery was determined as best way to resolve this," Geelong's general manager of football Steve Hocking said.

"We hoped the issue would settle without the need for surgery, but that did not resolve the problem, so surgery was required.

"Jordan showed last year that he is a player with a bright future and we expect him to be back playing before the end of the season."
