Former Carlton player Ian Prendergast has been appointed to the position of general manager ? player relations for the AFLPA.

"Ian's background, qualifications, experience and commitment to AFL players means he is a perfect fit for our members and our organisation," AFLPA CEO Matthew Finnis said.
