Adelaide announces an expanded leadership group, with Lachlan Murphy among four additions to support captain Jordan Dawson.
The 25-year-old Murphy joins Darcy Fogarty, Wayne Milera and Mitch Hinge as fresh faces with Brodie Smith, Ben Keays and Reilly O'Brien named as joint vice-captains.
Jordan Dawson wins the Showdown Medal after being judged best on ground in the Crows' 31-point win over Port Adelaide, but says that Riley Thilthorpe was more than worthy of the medal after the young forward's five-goal haul against the Power.
"I probably said I thought it was his medal," Dawson said of Thilthorpe.
"I was proud of him (because) you can see the work he's doing. To see him step up and play a real big boy presence was really pleasing to see as a captain."
Rory Laird joins an exclusive club of Crows greats after winning back-to-back Malcolm Blight Medals as the Crows' best and fairest for 2021 and 2022.
Laird became just the fourth player in club history to win consecutive club champion awards, polling 118 votes to hold off gun recruit Jordan Dawson (114) in a thrilling count.
The 28-year-old, who was named in the 2022 Therabody AFL All-Australian squad, joins Mark Ricciuto, Simon Goodwin and Scott Thompson as a back-to-back winner.
After a lengthy standoff, Adelaide and Sydney agree on a deal for Jordan Dawson whereby the Crows give the Swans a future first-round pick for Dawson tied to Melbourne's ladder position next year for the wingman.
The decision means the Swans will get a first-round pick out of the 24-year-old, who had a career-best season with the club and finished third in its best and fairest, instead of risk losing him in the NAB AFL Pre-Season Draft.
Adelaide has warned it could use the NAB AFL Pre-Season Draft to secure sought-after wingman Jordan Dawson amid an ongoing trade battle with Sydney.
Adelaide is unwilling to cough up its first pick in this year's NAB AFL Draft - No.4 overall - in exchange for Dawson. Its next selection is No.23 but that will not satisfy the Swans, who offered Dawson a five-year contract.
"It's certainly not the way clubs like to do deals - they like to reward the club that had the player. But I guess at the end of the day if it (a trade) doesn't happen, I guess that's an alternative," Adelaide football director Mark Ricciuto said on Triple M Adelaide.
Sydney say they will demand a high price for Jordan Dawson who has requested a trade to the Crows.
"We had big plans for Jordan, and it was reflected [in the] offer that we put in front of Jordan. So, if there is to be a negotiation there, we would expect that to be respectful and to reflect his standing at our club and the standing in the competition and potential," Sydney CEO Tom Harley told the club's website.
Port Adelaide football manager Chris Davies says the club is very interested in securing the services of Jordan Dawson, who has indicated an interest in returning to South Australia.
Dawson is yet to nominate which of the Crows or Power is his preferred destination.
Luke Parker wins his third Bob Skilton medal as Sydney's club champion for the 2021 season.
Parker polled 543 votes to win the count from reigning club champion Jake Lloyd (504), while Jordan Dawson (502) was rewarded for his breakout season with a place on the podium.
Jordan Dawson signs a new two-year deal with Sydney to remain at the club until the end of 2021.
Taken with pick 56 in the 2015 draft, Dawson played just five games in his first three seasons, but has fronted in 12 of the Swans' 13 clashes in 2019, kicking eight goals and looking like being an important cog of the club's ongoing rebuild.
"I've always believed that I could contribute to the AFL team at the Swans. I was just having to bide my time and injuries have held me back at various points as well. But I've always had that internal belief that I could play at AFL level," he said.
"It's nice to be doing that and I know that I've still got heaps to give, so that's promising and exciting for me."
Jordan Dawson signs a new deal with the Swans that will keep him at the club until the end of 2019.
"Jordan played his first game against Collingwood (in round three) and has been back in the NEAFL since, but he’s really starting to dominate games," Swans head of football Tom Harley said.
“We think he’s a fantastic character and exactly the type of person we want to have around the club – and he’s developing really nicely as a footballer."
Jordan Dawson makes his AFL debut for Sydney at the SCG with 10 disposals (6 kicks and 4 handballs), 3 marks and 3 tackles in a 1-point loss to Collingwood.

Sydney select Jordan Dawson with pick No.56 in the 2015 NAB AFL Draft.
"Jordan is a medium sized forward who ended up playing some good football with Sturt at league level in the SANFL," Sydney recruiting manager Kinnear Beatson said.
"Has really strong hands overhead and has a booming left foot kick."
