Former Saint Austinn Jones says St Kilda forward Stephen Milne has improved defensively in 2009.

"He's taken a huge step in the area that he knew and everyone knew he had to improve on, defensive pressure," Jones said.

"He was always keen to compete in that area, but he just wasn't very good at it. He's got better technique, and the attitude's there. He's hungry."
