Essendon delist Jordan Houlahan, who failed to make his AFL debut for the Bombers after he was recruited as a high-flying forward with pick No.49 in the 2017 NAB AFL Draft.

"Although Jordan was unable to make his debut for the club, he always maintained professional standards and showed commitment in his approach to developing his football career," Bombers footy boss Dan Richardson said.

Jordan Houlahan, an 18-year-old forward from the Adelaide Hills, could be set to take the competition by storm if he finds a home on draft night.

The Sturt prospect soars for big marks so often, his coaches and club staff have come to expect a highlights reel-worthy moment in nearly every game he plays in.

"Jordan every week takes one or two big marks; that's his go, that was last year and this year as well," Sturt football manager David Oatey said.

"If his opponent doesn't defend him on the ground, he will certainly jump up and over them. He's got brilliant vertical jumping judgement."
