Collingwood delists injury-plagued tall Nathan Kreuger as well as midfielder Jack Bytel and forward Josh Eyre.

"I like to think my time is now, it's not later. I'd like to see if I can get in as fast as I can," the 20-year old said.

"It's not ideal to play VFL when you're at an AFL club but the way I see it, it is all about being ready when they need me to play a role.

"Even if it's five or six games if someone gets injured and I come in and play a role, I'm more than happy to be part of the team that way. If I do stay in there permanently then it's a major goal fulfilled."

Geelong secures 196cm South Adelaide forward Nathan Kreuger.

The Cats will give Carlton pick No.42 in return for Kreuger, who the Blues have first access to as part of a state league compensation package received from the AFL last month.

Kreuger, a talented 19-year-old who can play at either end of the field, impressed for South Adelaide in the SANFL this season and received an invite to the SA State Combine.

"We see Nathan as more of a key position type player at either end of the ground. We don't expect him to be playing in the ruck," Geelong list manager Stephen Wells said.
