Collingwood delists injury-plagued tall Nathan Kreuger as well as midfielder Jack Bytel and forward Josh Eyre.

"Decision-making at this time of the year is always difficult and we thank each of the players for their contribution to our club," Pies list manager Justin Leppitsch said.

"Whilst only with us for a short period, Jack and Josh added value to both our VFL and AFL programs, and we thank them for their dedication."

St Kilda delists Jack Bytel, Leo Connolly, Jack Peris, and Oscar Adams.

"All four young men have been popular members of our playing list during their time at the Saints, giving their all and living our values," St Kilda acting general manager of football David Misson said.

"We wish Jack, Leo, Jack and Oscar all the best for their future endeavours and they leave knowing they'll always be part of the St Kilda family."

Jack Bytel signs a one-year deal with St Kilda to remain at the club in 2023.

The 22-year-old has managed 16 games across four seasons with the Saints, but didn't feature at senior level throughout the side's 2022 campaign. He instead played 12 games in the VFL with Sandringham, averaging 24.8 disposals and 5.9 tackles.

Monday, 10 August 2020

Jack Bytel makes his AFL debut for St Kilda at the Gabba with 18 disposals (7 kicks and 11 handballs), 2 marks and 2 tackles in a 59-point loss to Geelong.

Jack Bytel is set for surgery after being plagued by stress fractures and a bulging disc in his back since last year.

"We knew when selecting Jack that his injury would likely require surgery, but we wanted to see him complete a block of rehab training to know for certain that it was the best option," Saints head of football Simon Lethlean said.

"The specialists are confident this procedure will allow Jack to put this injury behind him and we look forward to Jack becoming the player we know that he can for the Saints over the coming years."

Thursday, 29 November 2018

St Kilda draftee Jack Bytel will resume running in the new year as he continues recovering from a bulged disc in his back.

Stress fractures in his back earlier this year forced him to the sidelines, but he returned for three games with Vic Metro in the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships and one with his TAC Cup club Calder Cannons.

At half-time of that clash with the Oakleigh Chargers in July, a new injury was uncovered – the bulged disc.

Friday, 23 November 2018

St Kilda select Jack Bytel with pick No.41 in the 2018 National Draft.
