"He smashed our time trial, he's in unbelievable nick," Fyfe said of Bewley.

"I think he's got his name pencilled in round one for that wing position, and someone is going to have to knock him off for that."

Brett Bewley has taken the reins as Fremantle's new time-trial king after winning his first run as a Docker.

Bewley sat out last year's time trial through injury.

Brett Bewley makes his AFL debut for Fremantle at Perth Stadium with 11 disposals (5 kicks and 6 handballs), 2 marks and 2 tackles in a 1-point win over Brisbane.

Fremantle select Brett Bewley with pick No.59 in the 2018 National Draft.

Bewley's VFL teammate from Williamstown, Lachlan Schultz, was also selected by Fremantle at pick No.57.

"I was very excited for him, it’s good to see teammates get their names read out, it’s really good for the VFL," Bewley said.

"I'm sure we will be able to help each other out at Fremantle."
