Harrison Jones will miss the rest of the 2023 season after undergoing ankle surgery while also dealing with a serious back problem.

Harry Jones has added more than 10kg to his frame across his two years in the AFL as he looks to cement a key forward role with the Bombers.

"I put on a lot in my first year from that foot injury when I wasn't really playing, and I'm slowly just building that up. I'm up around 88-90kg at the moment, which is good, but I'm still continuing to get bigger and stronger, which is a big thing for a lot of the young boys at the club," he said.

Harrison Jones is in danger of missing the remainder of the 2021 season after scans revealed he had suffered a stress reaction in his right foot.

Harrison Jones makes his AFL debut for Essendon at Docklands Stadium with 13 disposals (9 kicks and 4 handballs), 5 marks and 2 tackles in a 1-point loss to Hawthorn.

In his third season, Jones played just one game for the Hawks against GWS in round 5 this year, while Walker failed to make a senior debut after arriving with pick No.63 at the 2018 NAB AFL Draft.
