Archie Perkins signs a new deal with Essendon to remain at the club until the end of 2026.

"I was never going anywhere else but I'm very happy to be secured for another couple of years with the team," Perkins said.

"It's a good team to be a part of at the moment and I'm pretty excited about where we're heading and the journey we're on. We've got a good blend of young and older players at the moment so it's a good group to be a part of. I'm very excited to commit for another two."

Archie Perkins recommits to the Bombers for a further two years.

"I've loved my time at the Bombers so far and I'm so excited to remain at the club for another two years," he said.

"We are disappointed at the moment with our on-field results, but I'm very confident that we have a core group of young players who have a lot of potential and will take this club forward."

Archie Perkins is the 2021 round 17 Rising Star nominee after kicking three goals from 18 possessions and four marks as the Bombers crushed the Crows by 63 points.

"We're pleased for Archie that his season to date has been recognised and his performance on Friday night was exciting to watch," Essendon general manager of football Josh Mahoney said.

"Archie has been hungry to continually learn both his forward and midfield craft and we have been seeing improvement week on week since he made his debut in round three against St Kilda."

Archie Perkins makes his AFL debut for Essendon at Docklands Stadium with 14 disposals (8 kicks and 6 handballs), a mark and 3 tackles in a 75-point win over St Kilda.
