Already signed with the Dockers to the end of 2026, Josh Treacy signs a four-year contract extension to remain at the club until the end of 2030.

The 21-year-old, whose shot accuracy of 70 per cent this season is the best out of the top 40 goalkickers in 2024, was happy to secure his long-term future.

"It was clearly a no-brainer with the situation the club is in and the way that I feel it is going to go," Treacy said.

"We've got a really big month ahead of us and hopefully we can go further."

Docker Josh Treacy wants to take on the responsibility for covering Rory Lobb's loss in 2023 and bounce back from an injury-ravaged second season that saw him stall as a promising young key target.

"I feel a little bit of that responsibility. It leaves a great hole, not only as a player but as a person too. He was a great mentor and someone I worked really closely with," Treacy said.

"I'm building connections with Jye (Amiss) and 'Tabs' (Matt Taberner) and Josh (Corbett) so we can have a successful year as a forward unit regardless of who's down there kicking goals. That's what we're all looking for."
