Draft Report: A competitive young ruckman, Conway has emerged as the country's top ruck prospect this year after coming a long way since his under-16s year. Conway represented Vic Country at the under-16 national championships but had a premature end to his season with a knee injury which would have wiped out much of his 2020 bottom-age campaign. However, he has grown another 3cm in the past year and has grown confidence in his game. A big pre-season saw Conway added to the AFL Academy squad in April, leading to an opportunity to play an exhibition match against Geelong's VFL side. He dominated in the ruck for Vic Country in a Challenge Match against Vic Metro in July, recording 24 hitouts, three clearances and 10 disposals. For the Falcons, he has impressed not only with his work in the air but also with his ability to follow up at ground level.
