Port Adelaide's young ruckman Dante Visentini has signed a two-year contract extension, despite interest from rival clubs in Victoria, securing his place with the Power until 2027.

"We are excited to see Dante continue to develop as a key player in our ruck division and are thrilled that he has chosen to stay with the Power for the next two years," Port Adelaide's recruiting and list manager Geoff Parker said.

Dante Visentini makes his AFL debut for Port Adelaide at the MCG with 4 disposals (4 handballs), a tackle and 2 hitouts in a 4-point win over Essendon.

Draft Report: One of a limited number of 200-plus centimetre prospects in this year's draft pool, the towering tall grew significantly as a player across the course of the year. He primarily played forward for the Dragons, while also assisting as a back-up ruckman. An aggressive and competitive player around stoppages, Visentini is raw but is a strong overhead mark and kicked two goals in his final NAB League game of the season. He has a high football IQ and knows where to lead and where to take his opponent. Visentini played a similar forward-ruck role for Vic Metro in its Challenge Match against Vic Country in July and was solid with 11 disposals, three marks and 10 hitouts.
