Max Michalanney will miss the rest of the pre-season due to a dislocated thumb injury suffered during an internal trial match but hopes to return for round one of the 2025 season against St Kilda.

"The nature of this injury means he will continue to train as per normal and maintain the strong fitness base he's built over summer." Adelaide's high-performance manager Darren Burgess said.
