Isaiah Dudley Biography

Isaiah Dudley, nephew of AFL stars Eddie Betts and Shaun Burgoyne, and cousin of Kysaiah Pickett, overcame being overlooked in the draft to earn an AFL opportunity with Fremantle through hard work and dedication.

Given feedback that he needed to improve his off-field habits and diet, the 21-year-old got to work on building the physical base he needed to be an AFL prospect and starred in the SANFL last year with Central District.

"I really took that on board and kept working on it and I feel like a little kid now, you know, running out on the ground and living out my dreams. All the hard work has paid off," Dudley said.

Isaiah Dudley makes his AFL debut for Fremantle at Perth Stadium with 10 disposals (9 kicks and a handball), 3 marks and 2 goals in a 38-point win over West Coast.

Fremantle sign small forward Isaiah Dudley in the pre-season supplemental selection period to bolster their forward stocks after Odin Jones' injury.

"Dudley was a very talented junior footballer and had a few injuries and things didn't go his way, but we have kept an eye on him at Central District," Fremantle head of player personnel David Walls said.

"He jumped at the chance to come across and train and has handled himself really well."
